A press conference at Luxor African Film Festival with the presence of Mr Hassan Khalaf , the representant of the Minister of Culture and ambassador of India in Cairo, to announce the details of honoring, the idol of African peoples. Luxor African film festival (LAFF) together with the Embassy of India in Cairo held a joint press conference on Tuesday, March 7th at Hanager Cinema to announce the details of honoring the international movie star Amitabh Bhachchan at the closing ceremony of the sixth edition of the Luxor festival of African Cinema.
The press conference was held in the presence of Mr Hassan Khalaf , the representant of his excellency the Minister of Culture, Mr. Helmi Al Namnam, his Excellency Ambassador of India, Mr. Sanjay Bhattacharyya and Chairman of the Luxor African Film Festival, the scriptwriter Sayed Fouad, manager of the Festival Director Azza Al Hosseini, the Chairman of Tourism Promotion Authority and a number of Egyptian celebrities.
During the conference, details of the honoring of the idol of African peoples during the past four decades, Amitabh Bachchan and giving an account of his career in the presence of his wife Jaya Bhaduri and his daughter, anchor Shweta Bhachchan. The press conference was moderated by media person Hala Al Mawi.
It is worth mentioning that the sixth edition of Luxor Festival will be inaugurated on March 16th at the city of Luxor and its events will continue till March 22nd. The coming edition of the festival will honor the Egyptian actress Nilly Karim,
Moroccan artist Mohammad Moftah, the Egyptian movie director Yousri Nasrallah and the Mauritanian filmmaker Abdurrahmane Sisako.
